Welcome to my homepage. Here you will find information about my dogs and latest news. Please sign the guestbook before you leave and come back soon for updates!
My name is Sanna Norhio. I was born in 1982 and have lived all my life in the capital area. I got my first dog when I was 12 years old. It was a cavalier kingcharles spaniel, Roosa (Panda’s Love Me Tender). Roosa was a ruby girl with white markings, so she did not do so well in the shows, but she was the reason I become interested in showing. Then came Leevi the briard (Boondock’s Bet My Boots) and we had lots of fun showing and training. Leevi got all his CC’s but we never competed in working tests to get the title officially. These two dogs meant the world to me, they were my first ones and I really grew up with them. I miss them everyday.
Then came the Americans. I had been dreaming of an am.cocker since the World Dog Show was held in Finland 1998. Indie (Little Life Hot On Stage) came to me in 2005, she is the cutest little thing you can imagine. She really is like a doll with a beautiful swan-like neck. Her name turned out to be a bit ironic though, since I never really got to show her, she never got enough coat. A year after, when Leevi and Roosa passed away, came Ryan (Ch. Rotojet’s Royal Ransom imp. Sweden). Ryan finished his title easily and is now enjoying his life to the fullest in short coat with Indie. They really are a cute couple and keep my parents occupied with lots of spaniel humour and activities!
Sighthounds, what can I say, my heart is completely stolen, and will probably never be returned. In 2007 I took a one-day trip to Milan, and brought back my first afghan baby. Esko (Xenos Confessor) has introduced me to the world of sighthounds. A few months later, Esko’s father Quid (Ch. Khandhu Quidditch of Xenos) flew to Finland and we spent a year together showing here and abroad. He gained four Ch-titles to his credit and one res-BIS win in an international show during his stay. It was really hard to send him back after the year, when he was already like a family member. Esko started his show career in May 2009 and we’ll see what the future holds for him. We have also started to train lure coursing this summer and enjoy it very much!
Matti (Agha Djari’s You Only Live Twice) is my second afghan. He lives together with my friend Petra Sankelo and is co-owned by me, Petra and Kirsi Nummela. Matti started his show career with a bang by winning group at a huge all breed puppy show, with 700 puppies!
And so the story continues. We have two new exciting babies coming, so stay tuned for updates! Sanna
